Come join us explore San Francisco's largest wastewater facility. Built in 1952, the Southeast Treatment Plant (SEP) treats 80% of the City's flows including Daly City and Brisbane. Located in Bayview Hunters Point, the SEP is nestled in the midst of a mixed industrial, commercial, and residential area.
Through the Sewer System Improvement Program, the SEP will undergo operational improvements and seismic upgrades. The operational improvements intend to ensure the reliability of the sewer system and protect both public health and environment.
