Tour: Salesforce Tower
Time: 3:30 – 5:00 PM
Location: 415 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA
Located on Mission Street between First and Fremont Streets, the Salesforce Tower is the tallest skyscraper in the San Francisco skyline, and the second tallest building west of the Mississippi. This vertical campus for Salesforce employees and other tenants incorporates innovative features such as a custom HVAC system that allows the building to literally “breathe” fresh outside air, saving energy and supporting occupant well-being. The tower will feature the largest on-site blackwater recycling system in a commercial high-rise in the country. While that system is not yet online, BAWWA tourgoers will learn about the tower’s many sustainability features as the Salesforce Green Buildings Team leads us through its beautiful employee floors. A stop in their adjacent building may be included to see an example of an amazing Ohana Floor. Before or after your building tour, you will have the opportunity to take a stroll and learn about the neighboring Transbay Transit Center and its rooftop park, which is currently dealing with unexpected cracks in its steel beams.
Tour Size: Approximately 40-minute building tour, limited to total of 40 people (two groups of 20).
Time: Arrive by 3:15 pm to begin check-in. First building tour will start at 3:30 pm. Second will start approximately 4:10 pm. Transbay Transit Center walk before or after tour.

Registration: RSVP by November 26th. Tour spots will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

7:00pm General Meeting, Board Election, & Annual Water For People Auction
Water for People is a nonprofit that works with people in developing countries to improve their access to safe drinking water and sanitation. Around the world, 783 million people do not have access to safe drinking water, and more than 2.5 billion people lack adequate sanitation facilities. Water for People is working to change those statistics. In 2011, Water For People launched its daring “Everyone, Forever” initiative aimed at making real, sustainable change in the communities where the organization works.
BAWWA has been increasingly successful in raising money for WFP in our annual auction, and having a great time while doing it. We hope to continue the trend this year!
Money Raised from Previous BAWWA Auction Events:
2014 - $3,429
2015 - $2,670
2016 - $2,335
2017 - $3,505
2018 – up to you!
A successful auction depends on having exciting auction items!
