About

BAWWA’s purpose is to provide opportunities for its members to interact with each other and exchange information and ideas as well as broaden its collective member’s knowledge and experiences relative to water works issues and industry developments and opportunities. In order to meet this goal, BAWWA maintains a regular schedule of activities for its members. Regular membership meetings are held quarterly and occur each February, May, August and November. The August meeting typically coincides with BAWWA’s annual Golf Tournament. Other quarterly BAWWA meetings usually consist of a tour, dinner and presentation or other program. BAWWA strives to provide a mix of tour and presentation subjects to include general interest and entertainment subjects as well as important or innovative water works projects and programs. Other activities and events are scheduled throughout the year including the BAWWA Summer Social, which provides an additional opportunity for BAWWA members to get together for a fun outing with family and friends. BAWWA and its members also support Water for People, which uses water as a catalyst for change in communities that lack access to drinking water, adequate sanitation and hygiene education. BAWWA is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization.
